Lesson Highlights

  • Desire is the true sign of connection and purification
  • Closeness to the Creator comes through genuine yearning
  • The ego's biggest lie: that we don't need anything
  • Emptiness, shame, or self-judgment are doorways to pause and breathe
  • Even in the highs, keep desiring more
  • Yearning to draw closer to the Light, to give more, to trust more
  • Results are not the point — sincerity is
  • Not feeling immediate transformation is part of the process

Lesson Description

The seven days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the soil for the blessings of the upcoming year. The Zohar teaches that connection to the Creator depends on a truthful desire to draw close to the Light. Eitan explains that instead of fixing, covering, or judging uncomfortable feelings, we should recognize that the Creator's endless Light is present even inside the ache and discomfort. That's the spiritual work that plants the seeds for the entire year ahead.
