Lesson Highlights

  • What looks negative or low on the outside doesn't determine what's really happening on the inside
  • Internal spiritual work matters more than external appearances
  • The Creator never gives up on anyone
  • Our lowest moments can hold access to sparks of Light we cannot reach any other way
  • We can redirect our internal intention, even while external circumstances look unchanged
  • Extending limitless compassion and kindness to ourselves and to everyone we meet
  • Never write yourself off based on the past

Lesson Description

We continue with the study of chapter 15, in which Rav Isaac Luria, the Ari reveals a profound truth: the klipot or dark shells only release the most elevated souls under the condition that they be placed into difficult circumstances such negative parents or challenging surroundings believing that would corrupt them and bring them back. But the Creator supports those souls more than any other so they can transform not just themselves, but everyone around them. Yosef explains that whatever happens on the outside is never the full story, because any one could do something that looks negative or low while something entirely different and spiritual is quietly taking shape within. The Creator never gives up on the most rejected souls and fully support them specially when seem lost. It is our individual responsibility to give kindness and compassion to ourselves and to everyone we mmet, especially in our lowest moments.

About This Course

Isaac Luria, who came to be known as The Ari (meaning ‘Lion' in Hebrew) because of his prodigious capacity for spiritual study and understanding, was a 16th century kabbalist who delved deeply into the mystical wonders of the Zohar. Commonly considered the father of contemporary Kabbalah, the Ari produced a historic commentary on the Zohar that removed many of its layers of complexity. His teachings created some of the most important kabbalistic ideas and practices used today, including the concept of tikkun, or correction of the soul. Join us for a consciousness-expanding course as we demystify the seminal writings of the Ari and connect with his righteous soul.
