חג הפסח המצוין בליל ה-15 לחודש ניסן (מזל טלה) הוא מועד שנקבע כבר בעת בריאת העולם כשהאנרגיה השופעת של הבורא השתחררה אל מרחבי היקום. פסח הוא הרבה מעבר לעוד חג בלוח השנה, זהו מועד שבמהלכו נפתח חלון קוסמי בו מתאפשר לנו להשתחרר מספקות ופחדים, ובמקומם להתחבר לרצונות העמוקים ביותר של נשמתנו. כאשר אנחנו מצליחים להתחבר ולתעל את האור העוצמתי של פסח, הנשמה שלנו מתחילה להשתחרר ממגבלות האגו. במובן הקבלי, ההשתחררות מכבלי האגו היא למעשה השגת החירות המוחלטת.
