We start the week with a New Moon that happens on Sunday, June 14th. This is a great day for meditation and for reflecting on our goals for the next 30 days.
The month of Cancer is not an easy month. The energy of the Moon is funneled into the universe in a very condensed way. Our job is to focus on the waves of the universe. By sitting ourselves down to relax and meditate, we can set more thoughtful goals for this month.
When we talk about goals, we mean things like big business goals or interpersonal goals (like cultivating deeper friendships). Either way, the idea is to serve our true selves. Everything or anything that disconnects us from our inner greatness or from the potential of our souls will not bring us happiness in the long run.
During the New Moon, the Sun and the Moon are in Gemini, which is very good for communication and breathing. Everything is connected: The circulatory and nervous systems will reap the benefits. It is a good day for a massage and working on the body's communicators.
The combination of water and air elements can contradict each other. On the one hand, we feel the desire to communicate, talk, and be out there in the world. On the other hand, we feel an urge to protect ourselves, our safety, and our families. At the beginning of the week, Mercury, the planet of communication, is in Cancer. Jupiter, the planet of blessings, is also in Cancer. And Venus, the planet of love, relationships, and money, is just moving to Leo.
So we have a mixture of energy. Our job is to balance ourselves not just for the day, but throughout this month. Mercury is in a good aspect with Mars, the planet of war, which can help us gain perspective on life and see what’s really important to us and what isn't.
On Wednesday, the Moon in Cancer will be in conjunction with Mercury. Then Jupiter arrives, so be careful of exaggeration. The Moon rules Cancer, so when it is in Cancer, we are controlling the chart. We can become very emotional and very protective. With Jupiter, the planet of expansion, it can be too much. But sometimes it can also give us amazing things, like understanding people, feeling them deeply, or connecting to the process of our lives. Set an intention to create peace with your family and the ones you love.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Venus will be in opposition to Pluto, and things can be very extreme and intense. Don’t try to control; just direct your energy into creativity and understand the intensity that you might be going through. It’s only a sign to go deeper within and enhance your journey with relationship and with money.
The Moon will join Venus on Thursday, and both will be in opposition to Pluto. This alignment will make it especially important to keep calm during those days. Be brave, do some tapping on the heart, and don’t fall into pressure that may seem to come from the world around you. Instead, use this pressure.
Saturday, the moon moves to Virgo and will conjunct the south node. It’s a good day to relax and breathe. Try not to accomplish things that are too complicated.
