Lesson Highlights

  • We are not meant to go back — After the elevation and purification of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Michael challenges us to recognize that our old reality is no longer where we belong.
  • Entering the Creator’s space — Sukkot is the unique time when, rather than remaining in our own space, we are invited into the space of the Creator.
  • The tools are not the connection — The Sukkah, lulav, and etrog are important tools, but they are not the connection itself. Michael explains that the physical tools help lift us into the consciousness needed to make the deeper spiritual connection.
  • Becoming the seven channels of Light — Michael reveals the deeper purpose of the seven days of Sukkot: connecting to the seven channels of the Creator’s Light.
  • Becoming the Creator’s body and soul — Sukkot gives us the opportunity to transform every part of our being, body and soul, into channels for the Creator.
  • Undergoing spiritual surgery — The Sukkah becomes the Creator’s “operating room,” where we can remove, transform, and elevate every part of our being.

Lesson Description

“We’re literally going through spiritual surgery in these seven days.” — Michael Berg

After the elevation and purification of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we are given the opportunity on Sukkot to leave behind our old reality and enter the Creator’s space. Join Michael as he reveals how we can transform our body and soul into channels for the Creator’s Light throughout the seven days of Sukkot and become someone far greater than who we were before.

Practice: Entering the Creator’s Space
Throughout the seven days of Sukkot, enter the Sukkah with the consciousness that you are entering the Creator’s space. Ask yourself, “Am I willing to return to who I was?” Then ask the Creator to transform your body and soul into channels through which the Light can flow.

About This Course

One of the major spiritual connections kabbalists make on the Shabbat is the reading of a weekly Bible portion. These consciousness lectures present lessons on each week's portion to elevate our consciousness and create awareness of the spiritual energy and gifts that are available through the reading of a Torah Scroll. With greater awareness and an awakened consciousness, we can connect to the Light revealed each week and use it as support in our ongoing spiritual work. This playlist contains consciousness lectures from the four most recent Shabbats.
