Lesson Highlights

  • The red string represents the energy of protection and it shows that energy does not lie
  • It is an ancient tool to protect ourselves while encouraging us to purity our thoughts and actions
  • It is completely wool as it comes from the ramb or sheep as it contains the greatest desire to receive for the self alone
  • It attracts protection by the color red
  • It is worn on the left wrist which is the hand that receives
  • It can get disposed on a garbage receptacle once it gets detached
  • Having it for a specific stage of life is not related to the kabbalistic wisdom
  • It is a reminder of how we think and behave, as it is best for protection
  • It is not a reminder of belonging to the teachings of kabbalah
  • The kabbalistic red string doesn't encourage taking energy or giving evil eye
  • Using the red string to give more love and positive energy, more goodness and blessings for others

How to put it?

  • Seeing the meditation in the package
  • Have it tied to you by someone who loves you
  • The meditation to tie it is from the Torah which puts a cocoon of protection on the person who carries it
  • There are 7 knots and each knot is tied as it is recited on the prayer called Ana Beko’ach
  • One line of the Ana Bekoach per knot
  • Focusing on purifying our thoughts and actions while embracing kindness and sharing

Lesson Description

The energy of protection is deeply rooted in kabbalistic wisdom, and is represented on the wearing the Red String, which is blessed on the thomb of Rachel the Matriarch. In this video, Elisheva Balas explains that the Red String is a reminder that loving, caring and goodness in our thoughts and actions are the basis of protection for ourselves and for our realtity.

About This Course

The study of Kabbalah offers us a wealth of knowledge, but how this translates to daily life can be a mystery. This course is designed specifically to help students apply kabbalistic wisdom on a practical, everyday level. Go beyond a basic understanding, and put kabbalistic tools and concepts to use! During each experiential class, students will discover how to use practical tools such as the Red String, connecting to the righteous, practicing tithing, and drawing protection. It's one thing to learn the wisdom of Kabbalah; it's quite another to use it. This “How-To” series will help you do both.
