Lesson Highlights

  • Emotions as data, information about ourselves, and seeing emotions as an observer
  • Identifying limiting trends and fears
  • Certainty in the process of life while setting strong boundaries
  • Knowing that positive situations are always coming our way

PAUSE WORKSHOP:

  1. Write down 3 qualities you like about yourself or qualities you strive to be more like.
  2. Stress or pressure; something external that bothers you

PAUSE WORKSHOP:

  1. Write down 2 or 3 instances that didn’t go your way.
  2. Think about a few situations where things didn’t go your way (not about the details, but how you felt in those moments).
  3. During those times, what emotions were the most intense?
  4. Emotions connect you to something within yourself

PAUSE WORKSHOP:

  1. Write down the underlying cause of the emotion from your list.
  2. What was the deeper experience you were having?
  3. Focusing on what you really want

Lesson Description

Emotions can often be mistaken as a sign of a truth rather than a data point. Our emotions are not what we are, and we do not have to be controlled by them. When we can observe emotions for what they are, we can use them to focus on what we really want. Monica inspire us to see emotions as signals, connecting us to an internal process of growth and transformation.
