As for the chart this week, the Sun is in Scorpio along with Mars, the planet of war. At the beginning of the week, Mercury, the planet of communication, is also still in Scorpio (later this week, it will move to Sagittarius). In addition, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune are all in water signs. All this water alerts us to a greater meaning. Be aware of how you use the water element at this time.
The positive side of the water is compassion and connection with others on a soul level. Water helps us be more sensitive to others. The negative side of the water is jealousy, envy, manipulation, lack of certainty, lack of ability to communicate with words, and a sense that we are drowning in sorrow.
Because the energy of water can emphasize passivity, the best solution for periodic depression is helping the environment and being in service to others. Essentially, it’s true sharing. It is more important than ever to go out into the world and share or volunteer. If you know someone who has a tendency to get down, help them get out of their own minds and tackle an act of service together. Avoid staying in sadness alone; it creates a cave-like experience that gets more difficult to pull ourselves out of.
Mercury, the planet of communication, moves to Sagittarius on Wednesday, October 29th. Mercury does not agree with Sagittarius because it rules the opposite sign, Gemini. In Scorpio, Mercury can be silent, taking in all information. All the while, Sagittarius is overly talkative in an effort to appear more spiritual and authoritative, clinging to opinions.
On Wednesday, when Mercury moves to Sagittarius, make sure you’re breathing and focused on a calm nervous system. Mercury will be in a position to Uranus in Gemini, and both of those planets are connected to our nervous system, which can trigger it to be on high alert, especially if you have planets in fire signs around zero to five degrees. This is a good day for meditation to avoid going all over the place and getting confused.
On the same day but earlier, the Moon will move to the sign of Aquarius and conjunct with Pluto, the planet of life and death. This can be emotionally stressful because of the connection between those two events. Note: Emotional stress can affect our nervous systems, and the influence of the water can make us fall into emotions we normally wouldn’t. So, if you experience any kind of emotional stress, then work through it knowing that there is additional intensity coming to you that is meant to bring you growth. The point is not to go into crisis mode.
Remember, emotions change. We cannot live 100% inside our emotions or rely on them 100%. Emotions are indicators. We have to step back, meditate, and take ourselves outside of the situation for a moment to bring ourselves back to a balanced and proactive place. Then, maybe we can deal with the situation.
Saturday, the Moon goes conjunct with Saturn in Pisces, which can also bring some stagnation in the water element. It is recommended to do some lymphatic brushing or lymphatic massage to calm down and create some flow and movement in the lymphatic system.
The kabbalists explain that we have the capacity to rise above the influence of the planets. When we understand what is coming our way and we’re doing the spiritual work, then we can receive the tools to rise above.
