The New Moon of Taurus is upon us! Taurus is a month of healing and has the ability to awaken the healer within us.
Kabbalistically, we know that each of us has a physical body and a metaphysical body. The metaphysical body is our aura, the energy that connects us. Our aura also acts as our protector, like a spiritual immune system. So when we speak about “healing,” we are talking about healing of all kinds: physical, mental, and spiritual. It is important to note that there is a correlation between the way we conduct our lives and the strength of our aura.
As we begin the month, Mars, the planet of war, reenters the sign of Leo after a long retrograde in the sign of Cancer. Mars is a hot planet, and it creates heat, both physically and mentally, in any sign that it is in. When Mars is in Leo, the emphasis is on human dignity, love, and kindness. This is not the time to make light of serious situations. And it is the worst time to get into arguments. We need to come together with all of our powers to create unconditional love. (Use the 72 Names of God number 12 to awaken unconditional love.)
Mars in Leo will oppose Pluto, the undertaker, in Aquarius during the New Moon, which means there will be more intensity in that area. This might mean a relationship ends or a separation from a loved one. We might feel more pressure on our hearts during this time. The axis of the heart and the head gets stronger. The universe will help us balance between the two.
This month, and especially during the time of the New Moon, the universe sends us messages that we have an opportunity to do healing work in the area of our hearts. Leo is the sign of the heart, and for the next six weeks, our hearts become more sensitive, especially to those who are born under its sign or have planets in their chart in that sign. But all of us will be influenced by this energy. So, take care of your heart, as the heart is the center of our desires.
Ask yourself:
What happens when your desires are not fulfilled?
Is your heart shrinking?
Or are you building walls around your emotions?
When we close our hearts because of hurt or disappointment, we block ourselves from experiencing the blessings the universe wants to send our way. Not all of our desires were meant to be fulfilled. Sometimes, it is even better when we don’t receive what we’ve wished for. When there is pain or hurt, it is because there is a journey to be taken. There is Light in this, and blessings to be found in the process. By going through this journey, we can awaken blessings in our lives.
Venus, the planet of love and relationships, will go back to the sign of Aries on April 30th and will conjunct Neptune, the planet of illusions, in Aries. This can bring goodness and relaxation to the head area, but we should also be careful about illusions. If someone makes promises that are not realistic from a romantic or monetary standpoint, be careful to check all the details and do your research.
When Venus moves back to the sign of Aries, it increases the element of fire in the chart. Breathe deeply, massage your heart, and keep calm, especially when it comes to disagreements. Create circuitry and positive interactions with people. Make sure you are sensitive to others. Bring the element of water to your meditation practice by putting a water fountain near you or listening to the sounds of water. This helps you awaken empathy towards others.
Mercury, the planet of communication, is going to also be in the sign of Aries until May 10th. In Aries, this planet is quick and smart, but explosive. It is not easy to listen to others, so make an effort to truly listen without interruption and without completing sentences for others. In Taurus, Mercury is slower, more calculated, and sometimes it takes time to understand, but when Taurus understands, it is here to stay.
So, this month, let yourself take a journey of healing the heart and listening to others with care.
Make sure to use your head wisely and be careful with relationships, contracts, and investments. Use the cosmic window from the evening of May 15th to the 16th to expand and deepen your connection with the Zohar, the basic text of Kabbalah.
