Astrology Forecast for the Month of Libra 2025

According to the kabbalistic tradition, this Rosh Chodesh, or New Moon, not only marks the beginning of the month of Libra, but also the spiritual start of the year. It's an energetic gateway that sets the tone for the next twelve months, making it essential to understand the sky at this moment.

The New Moon that opens the month occurs while the Sun is still in Virgo, and the conjunction between the Sun and Moon also takes place in Virgo. So, even though the lunar cycle is already initiating Libra, the energy of the month begins under a strong Virgo influence, wrapping Libra energy in a subtle but powerful Virgoan veil.

This means that the energy of Libra this month will be colored by Virgo’s qualities: clarity, order, analysis, and a desire for refinement. But Virgo also has tendencies toward overthinking, criticism, and control. The South Node is also in Virgo, which, from a spiritual lens, represents a point of descent—a place where we can get stuck if we repeat old patterns. This is a call to watch how we use our minds: Are they serving us, or enslaving us?

The beginning of the month is dominated by earth energy, an ideal time to clean, organize, and bring closure. But as the month progresses, that grounding energy begins to fade: The skies fill with air and water, which can lead to scattered thoughts or emotional intensity if we don’t start off with inner clarity.

Meanwhile, Jupiter in Cancer offers emotional protection and reminds us of the importance of softness, nurturance, and emotional connection. It balances out Virgo’s sharp mental energy with gentleness and heart.

On September 22nd, Mars enters Scorpio, bringing emotional intensity. On October 6th, Mercury also enters Scorpio, inviting deeper conversations and emotional truth. On October 13th, Venus enters Libra, softening the air and opening the door to more harmony, connection, and graceful communication.

The New Moon that opens this new cycle does not arrive alone—it comes with a Solar Eclipse. In this astronomical and spiritual event, the Moon positions itself between Earth and the Sun, momentarily blocking its light. From both an astrological and kabbalistic perspective, this represents a temporary veiling of consciousness: a moment when the rational and external are dimmed, allowing deeper inner truths to emerge.

During an eclipse, internal processes intensify. It’s as if the universe turns down the volume of the outside world so we can hear the whisper of the soul. Because this eclipse occurs in Virgo, it activates a review of patterns of control, judgment, and self-demand, offering us the opportunity to release what we no longer want to carry into the New Kabbalistic Year. It’s a sacred time for reflection and purification, to plant seeds from a more honest and present place. Clarity doesn’t come from racing thoughts, but from silence, humility, and the willingness to face what we usually avoid.

This is a month to let go of unnecessary pressure, to create internal order without becoming rigid, and to build relationships from a place of honesty and mutual respect. Even if you don’t speak the language of astrology, you’ll feel it. This new spiritual year begins with a clear message: Harmony isn’t perfection—it’s presence, and real inner balance.
