We are heading into the New Moon of the month of Libra, also known as Rosh Hashanah. It is a day when the residue of our actions from this life and from past lives comes to the surface. The next two months will be determined in the aspects of continuity, health, and sustenance. At this time, we use kabbalistic tools to remove any judgment that can cling to those aspects of our lives.
We opened the week with the moon in Gemini, creating a square to the sun in Virgo. This square creates uneasiness in our thoughts, alerts the nervous system, and can even bring judgment toward ourselves or others.
Remember that our thoughts are the seed level of our lives. Especially this week, we want to direct them toward setting goals about what kind of people we want to be—especially on Friday, the evening of Rosh Hashanah. It's better not to connect to any negative thoughts, or at least not to take them seriously. Let them pass by you, don't identify with them, don't fear them, and remember: you decide which thoughts to take seriously. Just release them. Some things may come to us, and maybe even bombard us—just don't give them too much energy.
Squares are aspects that ask us to resolve a situation. If judgment comes up about something we're not happy with, we have to go through a deeper process around that aspect rather than rushing to judge ourselves or others. Start with breathing, relaxing your nervous system, and then dealing with the situation from a proactive point of view.
We still have until Thursday to go through the process of introspection, but as Friday approaches, it's better to focus on our goals and not dwell on negativity. Even within those difficult thoughts, there are blessings hiding. Not letting those thoughts control us is the first step in revealing the blessings there. Use the 72 Names of God meditation of Number 40 to remove negative thoughts.
Monday, the Moon conjuncts Mars in Cancer, which can create emotional frustration and a feeling that people don't understand us. Try to explain yourself clearly, and don't expect people to intuitively understand what you want to say. Come from a place of creating connection and love, even if you're angry at someone in your family, remember that this person is your family.
Tuesday, the Moon moves into Leo and conjuncts Jupiter, which is very positive for love and connection—supporting and seeing the soul in each person. But on Wednesday, it will conjunct the South Node, which is a day to take things easy, lighten up, and activate your heart.
Venus, the planet of love, relationships, and money, will be at 29 degrees of Libra on Wednesday—a point of transformation, just before moving into Scorpio the next day. Venus starts to slow down here, preparing for its retrograde motion, when everything related to love, relationships, and money will be tested.
Venus is intense in Scorpio—it wants strong energy via magnetic people and situations. Remember that not everyone you feel magnetized to is necessarily the right person for you, so bring awareness to the situation and not just the attraction. The same goes for money: think before you spend.
Venus will reach 8 degrees in Scorpio on October 2nd, then start to move retrograde. It will re-enter the sign of Libra on October 25th.
Mercury will enter Libra on Thursday, the 10th, and on the day of Rosh Hashanah, it will be in opposition to Neptune. On one hand, this can give us creativity and imagination; on the other, the opposition can also bring confusion. If you need to sign a contract, check it carefully and double-check it—or better yet, wait a little before signing.
Take the next few days, until Thursday, to think about what kind of process you want to go through this year. What are your challenges or opportunities? And ask for some divine intervention.
Good luck, and have an amazing new kabbalistic year.
