We are through the Full Moon of the month of Aries, and the week starts with the Moon in Scorpio, which is deep. It gives us great intuition, especially with Jupiter in Cancer, and Mercury and Mars in Pisces. On the other hand, it can cause us to compromise our true selves emotionally.
The water element is observant and can be like a sponge. Here, the work is to use fire energy to awaken our desires and avoid passivity or becoming a victim. We did not come into the world to be victims. We came to be co-creators. The combination of fire and water can be explosive. Water tries to compromise itself, and fire wants to express itself. The only way we can do this successfully is to use our intuition and desire to understand that we are channels.
Venus, the planet of love and relationships, is in Taurus and can balance the situation, but it is the only personal planet in an earth sign. Uranus, the planet that breaks everything, moves to 29 degrees in Taurus this week and is preparing itself to move to Gemini at the end of April, where it will remain for the next seven years.
This marks the start of the “Omer,” a seven-week period of introspection. We can use this time to review our desires. What does it mean to be successful? Is it something personal and internal? Or is it something external? Am I concerned with how people view me? Or am I concerned with how much I manifest? We all have a combination of everything. We want approval and to feel successful. We want to feel blessed and full of Light. Those are big words, but eventually the test is in the daily manifestation: Do I like who I am? Do I enjoy my life?
The idea of enjoying life is not about taking vacations or escaping reality. Those things have their place too, but really living is noticing if we are truthful to who we are from the inside out. When we are not living authentically, we create space between ourselves and our souls, which can surface in all kinds of imbalances—emotional or physical.
On Friday, Mars, the planet of war, moves to the sign of Aries, the place of its rulership. All feels good there, but the energy is strong and can accelerate the fire. As mentioned before, we should be careful of anger. The ancient kabbalists acknowledged that we all get angry sometimes. The question is, how are we acting when we are angry? Do we throw away everything and forget who we are? Or do we watch ourselves and take precautions when we are angry?
For sure, all of us get angry from time to time, but the question is: how? And how do we control our anger? Sometimes it is good to walk away, reflect, and then address the situation more proactively. This is a great time to use the water element to balance all the fire. Take a swim or a shower to cool down. Breathing will also help us call in the energy. The takeaway from this week is to use the fire element in a loving and nonjudgmental way, use it to create a vision for ourselves, while setting the right boundaries in our lives.
