Happy New Astrological Year to everyone!
We are still in Aries, the first month of the astrological year and the first sign of the zodiac. One of the strongest aspects of this month is that the planet Neptune moves into the sign of Aries (previously Neptune was in Pisces). Neptune's shift into a new sign marks the beginning of an epic chapter in our individual lives and in humanity as a whole. It's monumental! Neptune remains in any given sign for about 14 years, so we only get to experience a new Neptune cycle once in a lifespan. This is BIG.
Not only does Neptune change signs, but it moves from Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, to Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. And it’s at zero degrees in Aries, which is arguably the most important of all 360 degrees, as it marks the beginning of everything. For Neptune, it marks the beginning of a new 165-year cycle around the Sun. Neptune is one of the three outer planets. The others are Uranus and Pluto (and yes, we know Pluto has been downgraded, yet it is still significant astrologically speaking!) When outer planets change signs, we’re talking about fundamental shifts that represent generational and collective consciousness- changes that pretty much affect the whole world.
With Neptune in Pisces, we saw an unprecedented awakening in spirituality. Now, with Neptune in Aries (2025-2039), the winds blow in a different direction. As the first sign in the zodiac, Aries is the leader, representing freedom of action and freedom of mind. Aries is all “this is me” energy—I’m a unique individual, and I’m going to find what makes me different from others. We may find ourselves reshaping our identity, rediscovering our purpose, and stepping into a more active role in our lives. In other words, action! Assertiveness! And more importantly, finding true freedom, that is, freedom from negativity.
On a more mundane level, countries, big institutions, and nations will rediscover their uniqueness, which can result in new political structures and the redefinition of global and personal purposes. This is a time of authenticity and self-expression. It will push us toward radical and new ways of thinking for the collective consciousness. This may mean a collapse of the old, followed by new paths of discovery. This could point to the exploration of new dimensions of reality.
With Neptune in Aries, a very “do it yourself” mentality will emerge. Aries is the head, the first sign of the zodiac, and is ruled by Mars—the planet of action and manifestation. This is a time to put our dreams and visions into reality. There will be a period of adjustment. The shift is so powerful that we will need some time to adjust to that energy. Be aware of the choices you make and be as real with yourself as possible.
