Shabbat is a tool to draw joy and peace for the entire week; and in this lesson, we learn that the combined portions of Vayakhel-Pekudei support us in the process of relinquishing dependency on external aspects, and focusing more on our internal process of transformation, awakening our desire for the Light that resides within ourselves. Eitan Yardeni explains that the energy of these portions helps us cleanse all blockages created from any external attachment.
