Phases 1 & 3 are giving and Masculine because Light flows from the Creator, Phases 2 & 4 are feminine since they awaken from the Vessel
To the degree we remove ourselves from the process, we allow the Light of the Creator, the Or deChochmah to flow.
To whatever degree we think that we’re doing, and inject ourselves into that revelation, we cause only Or deChasadim to be revealed. So even the greatest thing that we can accomplish, as long as we’re involved in it, it can only be Or deChasadim. And obviously, that is a tremendously lower level than the real Light of the Creator, than the Or deChochmah.
