So here we are, finally, in full blown Capricorn… and this time it's for real!
Four major planets are in Capricorn this week - Venus, Sun, Pluto and Mercury, and we can start feeling both a mixture of heaviness in the air (Venus is in retrograde), and a bit of an overly sensitive response to things, especially after January 1st! The hypersensitivity is created by the strong Cancer energy of the chart, along with the Moon in Scorpio at the beginning of the week.
This cocktail of planets can definitely trigger a grumpy mood, but as the kabbalists teach us: "the stars impel but they do not compel!" Meaning, we always have complete free will to respond in the best ways to the challenges of the cosmos, and this week is the perfect time to practice that lesson. So, let’s not panic!
When we look closer, we find that this is a time very rich in amazing lessons and deep understandings. Let's examine them together.
The first lesson is about illusions. Oftentimes, when we succeed in something, we feel very high and happy - literally on top of our game - only to realize later that it was all a big mirage, and we get slapped by the cosmos back into the reality of things; it's never a pleasant experience to crash into the truth!
This week is the exact opposite of that. Why? Because this week is all about what is REAL in our lives. The deep Capricorn energy is very genuine in its essence, very back to basics, and it will show us this week which friends are real, what work is for us, and which actions in our lives are worth the effort. It's as if the cosmos were stripping away all the illusions and veils of our reality and showing us the true value of what we have.
I have to be honest with you guys; although this is amazing for our spiritual work, it's not exactly fun to discover some truths about people's motivations, agendas, or simply to realize certain mistakes we've made. But without this cleansing, how genuine can our spiritual work be? I always remember the favorite sentence of my teacher Karen Berg, "The darkest point of the night is immediately before dawn." We will feel this week that we are walking in a dark tunnel, with many realizations on the way, but this tunnel is leading us straight to the Light!
The second lesson is about cause and effect. Does anyone know the famous saying we all use to justify our mistakes: "it seemed like a good idea at the time…"? Oh boy, this week is the demolition of that theory! Why? Because let's face it, we are smart enough to understand the consequences of our actions, we just decide we really don't want to see them right now.
Capricorn and its ruler Saturn, as I have repeated many times, are the IRS of the zodiac. No way to run away from taxes, right? Even the infamous Al Capone (a Capricorn with an Aries rising) couldn't escape them! Taxes will run after you everywhere you go. Here we are talking about spiritual taxes that are running after us, i.e. all the wrong choices we’ve made, so we can correct them.
So, here's what to expect this week:
People we haven't seen for a long time may reemerge for us to correct something that was left unfinished, we may receive a bill by mail from 1914 (I am barely exaggerating!), or a boss we once used to work for may ask us back into his company. Just expect the unexpected! This is our opportunity to correct, fix, or maybe just understand past events… and the good news is, it's all to our advantage!
The final lesson this week is about fast-forwarding our actions. We are always so afraid that a good opportunity will pass us by that, oftentimes, we make very impulsive choices. This is the week to practice STOP FAST-FORWARDING TO THE END RESULT DECISION MAKING!
