Before I had the merit to be introduced to the wisdom of Kabbalah, I often asked myself, what is the meaning of life? Why are we here? And what does it mean for me to be happy? Even after 25 years of studying the wisdom of Kabbalah, I find myself asking those questions over and over again. Finding answers to difficult questions is hard. But as we enter the realm of the concealed Light in the month of Pisces, we might find some answers.
Pisces, the twelfth sign of the zodiac, concludes the astrological calendar with a month of great and powerful forces, a month of redemption. Pisces is a concealed sign.
While the sign of Cancer represents us standing by the shore, the sign of Scorpio represents us standing by underground water, and the sign of Pisces represents us standing by the ocean or a river. As we look at the ocean, we can enjoy the energy of the water. It can be calm, relaxing, and give us a sense of peace, or it can be wild and stormy. Either way, we won’t be able to see what is happening under the water, which is filled with beautiful and fascinating mysteries, even dangers.
Water is the home of the fish (Pisces). So, we can’t really know what is going on under the surface. We may feel a craving to find the divine in our life, to see the miracles that may not even exist, or to feel unified with the other signs of the zodiac and emerge as one soul—the soul of Adam, of which we are all a part. We may long to connect to our divine spark; as Bruce Springsteen says, “You can’t light a fire without a spark.”
This New Moon, there are six celestial bodies in Aquarius, including the sun and the moon at (23 degrees and 16 minutes). It gives the sign of Aquarius a lot of power. Aquarius, “the bucket,” is the vessel that contains water, or abundance, and shares it with others. In Tarot, Aquarius is the card of The Star, a lady that draws water from the river for the sake of sharing. It’s considered to be the card of hope. In Astrology, Aquarius rules the eleventh house, which represents hope and aspiration.
While Aquarius connects us to hope, Pisces connects us to the divine. When we want to have hope, it means that we need to believe! Believe in the concealed miracles and divine protection. In the miracle of Purim, we see a simple story. There wasn’t a huge miracle—no sea splitting in half, no oil lasting for eight days, and the sun didn’t stand still. It’s just a story about a queen who invites the king and the villain for a drink, she tells the king about the bad guy’s plans, and the king orders him to be killed. Doesn’t sound like a huge miracle.
We want to believe that the Creator is with us in every moment. Especially when it looks like the world has gone mad. We can change our story to a great story with angels and miracles. Aquarius is the future. We can change our story for a better future. Mercury in retrograde in Aquarius reminds us of dreams that we lost and want to rekindle.
Venus and Jupiter are the two beneficiary planets that represent love and money, wisdom and truth, security and abundance. Both planets are in conjunction in the sign of Aquarius (12 degrees), allowing us to connect to their power. Mars is in Taurus squaring (hard aspect) the stellium in Aquarius. Mars in Taurus wants to keep what we have, even when it is time to let go. And Aquarius is all about releasing and becoming detached. Remember: to connect to the endless and to set a new path in our lives, there will be things we will need to say goodbye to, like old belief systems, desperation, victim mentality, blame, revenge, self-doubt, etc. Pisces is a sign of redemption, divine, intuition, kindness, fertility, love, abundance, and success. Pisces is the sign of miracles. Dreams really can come true.
Always remember Light and darkness work with the same amount of force.
