During the week of Pesach, we are able to leap beyond the obstacles set by our astrological charts into the realm of freedom and blessings. The month of Aries is called Nissan, from the word nes (miracles). The ancient astrological book, the Sefer Yetzira, written by Abraham the Patriarch, associates Aries with the "right leg," which Michael Berg explains is the energy of leaping. This is what the wisdom of kabbalistic astrology is all about—achieving freedom from the negative influences of the zodiac by using the proper spiritual tools.

Abraham the Patriarch, the author of this book, was an Aries. And although his astrological chart showed that he and his wife Sarah could not have children, he jumped out of that destiny, and they conceived a child, Isaac, who was born on Pesach.

So, it is a good time to reflect and ask yourself where in your chart do you have tough aspects? Where in life are you full of frustration, sadness, anger, or fear? The night of Pesach is a great opportunity to create change in your life.

This year we have a very unique Pesach. After many centuries, the two giants of our solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, are in Aquarius. They join forces with the immense energy of Aries during Pesach, which offers us a higher dose of freedom. One can literally remove any obstacle from his or her natal chart (worry, fear, limitations, blockages, etc.)

The night of Pesach will be met with a difficult aspect of Mercury, the planet of words, in Pisces, suffering opposition from the critical and skeptical moon in Virgo. We know the harsh and critical words we direct to ourselves are the cause of our limitations. The times we have cursed ourselves in anger with words like, "I am not good enough," or "I will never be able to achieve this," or "This is too good to be true," create a prison for ourselves.

On the 27th of March, we experience a full moon and enter the energy of Pesach, which also falls on a Saturday—a unique and rare opportunity to make connections. It is said that the patriarchal King David would tap every Saturday night into a huge celebration of joy through songs, unity, friendship, and food. Kabbalists call it "Melave Malka". It is a special opening connected to joy and happiness. The energy follows for seven days.

And if you look into the sky on the 27th of March, you may see a star of David under construction. On the 29th of March (03:10 AM, Jerusalem time), six aspects form a perfect Star of David in the sky (or “Shield of David,” as it is originally called). Whenever this star appears, we receive protection from negative thoughts and sadness since David represents the moon, a symbol of our emotional intelligence.
