Hi, everyone! A very interesting week is ahead of us! What’s new?
We are actually starting a new marathon. It’s the marathon of the weeks that lead to the cosmic New Year, the New Moon of Libra, or (as we call it in Kabbalah) Rosh Hashanah, which literally means, head of the year.
From a kabbalistic viewpoint there are seven weeks between the Ninth of Av (remember that challenging day of the year?) and Rosh Hashanah, during which we prepare and clear up our souls, or our vessels, so we may receive the new Light and energy of the new year ahead.
Let's imagine for a moment that our souls are like rechargeable batteries. The cosmic New Year is our time to charge it again. Most of us receive enough energy for the entire year to come. Though, some of us, unfortunately, only get recharged for a short period of time. In order for the recharge to be efficient, we have seven weeks to cleanse, understand, and prepare our new selves, or our new vessels, so we can receive a cleaner and stronger energy for the coming year.
What's the chart of this week like? There’s a lot of fire and water! A real boiler room! We are purified by water and fire. But this week, water energy is taking a new form; it’s empowering our "sight," and leading us toward more intuitive decisions—new beginnings and changes!
In fact, the rising sign of the chart is in compassionate Pisces, along with Chiron and Neptune. Venus is in sensitive Cancer, and five planets are in retrograde motion. The retrograde helps us to look more deeply within. The moon, which is the internal energy or soul of the chart, is located in pioneer Aries and is conjunct with Uranus, the researcher and innovator! The chart also contains two T-squares, which implies a lot of effort on our part to break the limitations. What does that mean on a practical level?
Guys, let’s get ready to be really tested this week! The cosmos is going to show us all our shortcomings and hidden agendas—the uncleanliness of our klipot (reactivity). The trick is not to become blue or depressed about it. To the contrary, it’s about eureka moments and flashes of understanding: we are not our shells; they just cover us and need to be peeled off. This is how we really clear things up!
Neptune, our muse this week, will guide us subconsciously a lot better, just like a good GPS. But picture this: Mars, the sun, and the north moon node are conjunct, which is amazing for moving forward, expanding our vessel, and feeling the energy of our potential. The chart’s mid-heaven, or highest point, is in Sagittarius to teach us and get us optimistic about the journey ahead.
This week, let’s share our journey with others; let's open up about our hopes, our weaknesses, even our pain. The best homework assignment for us right now is to go to friends we love very much and ask them what we need to change. Find out what they feel is getting you stuck in your spiritual journey.

On August 21st, the day of Virgo’s New Moon, a total solar eclipse will take place that we need to prepare for. Solar eclipses are true eclipses of our Ego. To make the best of this very important upcoming event, we need to have some work already done.
